Project Area: Mexico: Juarez: Hot Lunch Program
The first ministry to start was the hot lunch program. Originally held outside under a tarp, WR funded a Community Center to house the feeding program and also provide a gathering place
for the local church. WR involvement in this program consists of sending money to buy food and supplies. The children are fed a hot lunch after they have had a Bible lesson. This program has been ongoing for over 20 years. Some of the teachers at the school are a few of the original children fed by this program in the beginning. The lunch program is now incorporated with the school allowing the children to have a hot lunch. The children are able to have a hot lunch at school.
World Relief provides an average of 2760 meals per month at three locations. These locations include Granjas (the school in Juarez), K20 and Campecina.
