Dedication Evening

Special decorations for a special dinner

The dining hall beautifully set for the dedication dinner

Thursday evening, March 24th, was a very special time. The seven families whose homes we had worked on were invited to a dinner and dedication service. Also included were local officials and members of organizations we had cooperated with throughout the project. The dedication service was conducted by Bro. Kent Heimer, counseling elder for the USA Committee.

Each of the seven families received Bibles with their names imprinted on the cover and a Hymns of Zion hymnal. Younger children received Bible Storybooks. Each family was given an opportunity to express how this project has impacted their lives. It was a wonderful and emotional evening – To God be the Glory!!

Seven very special families now have lovely new homes to call their own. More than six hundred volunteers who served in this project have gone home with more than they brought – they have gone home with a blessing – one that comes only from forgetting self, and serving the needs of others.

The dining room is nearly filled shortly before the dinner is served.
