All children desire to be loved. Here one signs - "I Love You"

Learning
Being deaf, many of the children coming into the program have not been taught to read and write. As they learn to communicate through sign language a whole new world opens up to them - they can communicate with other people!! In their younger years, they learn sign language, reading, writing, arithmetic, and history.

Uniforms & teacher subsidy
Your donation is also used to pay for the children's uniforms and for part of the teachers' salaries.

Housing
As CCCD is a boarding school, part of your sponsorship funds help to pay for the child's room and board. Living on campus, the children are able to bond with other deaf children and join in group activities.

Fellowship
Part of the experience of CCCD is allowing the deaf a safe environment to create friendships and enjoy playing with other children.

Singing to the Lord
Sign language opens up the opportunity for the deaf to share the joy of the Lord through song and worship. As you can see, sign language can communicate feeling along with the words.

Trade School
Besides learning about Jesus, a goal of the program is to teach the children a trade. The boys learn computer, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and woodworking skills.

The girls in the program are taught sewing, cooking, and hair dressing.

Correspondence
You will receive letters from your children periodically. You will also periodically be provided an updated picture. When we ask what we can do for the children, the most often expressed need by the children and administrators is prayer. They in turn faithfully pray for their sponsors.
